I really enjoyed watching Mac work out the other day. He's growing fast.

I also really enjoy this forum. It's great to be able to follow training when I am too far away for an in-person viewing.

Thanks for all you are doing, Rob

Hi Rob,

Mac is continuing to amaze me every day......I look forward to his future and working with you and him together along the way......We are going to begin "Yard" very soon.......In the mean time his marking ability truly can not get much better for a puppy his age.......His focus and drive are better than any other dog I have seen in a long time for a puppy his age.......I am beginning to put a little pressure on him at the line and he is beginning to be farely steady with and tight lead......I have stretched him out on multiple gun singles 150-200 yards with no trouble at all.......The little man loves to birds and love to run......:D

Hi Rob,

Mac and I have begun "Yard" work......He is finished with "Hold" and we have begun E-collar conditioning and Force Fetch.....He is doing very well and I don't think this initial phase will take very long before we are back to focusing on his field work and progressing in the yard from basic Force Fetch to 3-hand casting and Double T.......

I was right - Mac is already done with the toe hitch and has moved to collar fetch already and almost done with the bench work portion of "Force Fetch"........

Thanks for taking the time to visit with me last Friday and to show me Mac's progress. He is maturing into a great dog. Your training is the best. I really appreciate all you are doing. And I love seeing the pictures and the reports since I can't see Mac every week.

Thanks for all, Rob

Mac is now beginning to mature into a teenager.......He understands a lot of basics.......we are now going to crack down and make training much more formal........In the Coming weeks we will make sure that he us completely through Formal Obedienc and E-Collar Conditioning.......Then we will finish up Double T and in the field he should be running Wide Open Triples on land and be good and steady.........

Mac is enjoying a very relaxed month of September.......We will have all winter to finish up yard work and move into the transition.  In an effort to have him ready for hunting season and to insure a positive attitude and build momentum; we are introducing Mac to the environment of Upland Bird Hunting and all aspects of actual duck and Goose hunting over decoys and from the blind.  Here is Mac learning to be steady and mark birds from the  MUT HUT.
