The purpose is to extend the work accomplished in Force to Pile and 3-handed casting into a bigger drill. This drill will be done in the same location every day. The procedure for the Double T is - - Spend a few days identifying or teaching the back pile. Send from the remote position; run the entire length up to 100 yard from the baseline to the back pile. - Force (Back;Nick;Back) from the half way point at the remote position. Then Force (Back;Nick;Back) from the baseline to the back pile. Right and Left hand casts. - Finally send the dog from your side at the baseline and Force in route to the back pile. - Sit to back pile - Com in - Teach long overs from remote position to Single T - Run Single T - Teach short overs from remote position - Run Double T - On the return, stop and handle to the back pile and to an over pile with the bumper in the dog's mouth form the original send. - Be sure to send your dog to the back pile the majority of the time. | |
